I will be doing a workshop at Heritage Supple this August! A flower hammering class is a workshop where participants learn to create unique prints on silk bandanas scarves by hammering flowers and leaves onto the material. This ancient Japanese technique utilizes the natural dyes within plants to transfer colorful patterns onto the fabric. You will have the freedom to create your own design with various plant and flowers all grown locally. Feel free to bring a few blooms of your own to experiment with.
